Extra At Escapa, we’re passionate about the road, which is why we’re introducing the Giant TCR Advanced SL 1 25. Lightweight, efficient, and featuring a unique design, the TCR is built to help you enjoy your road rides like never before.
The Giant TCR Advanced SL 1 25 is a WorldTour-level race bike, the choice of professionals for versatile performance. The TCR flagship utilizes system integration and innovative construction methods to deliver a clear advantage on the road.
SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION
The frame, wheels, Cockpit, and other components have been designed, developed, and tested together to deliver the best performance as a system. The new OverDrive Aero head tube technology combines with a Contact SLR AeroLight stem and Contact SLR handlebars to incorporate internal cable routing that also integrates the top cap, cables, and spacers into a more aerodynamic and user-friendly configuration.
WINNING EFFICIENCY
With a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, along with a new aerodynamic tube shape and a lighter overall weight, this uncompromising race bike delivers explosive acceleration and unwavering pedaling stiffness. The result is winning performance when it counts.
INTEGRATED AERODYNAMICS
All tube shapes were designed and developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and wind tunnel testing. From the truncated ellipse shape of the frame tubes to the new Cockpit design and component integration, everything translates to a more aerodynamic profile that gives the frame a 2.28-watt aerodynamic advantage over the previous generation.
MADE FASTER
The Giant TCR Advanced SL 1 25 is the pro-level road bike built for competitive road cyclists obsessed with performance, from Grand Tour pros like Simon Yates to amateur riders looking to reach a new level. The flagship TCR model combines its legendary ride quality with the integration of new systems and construction methods to make it more efficient than ever. The down tube has been significantly redesigned to improve aerodynamics, and a new integrated Cockpit—featuring the OverDrive Aero head tube and Contact SLR AeroLight stem—offers internal cable routing to further minimize aerodynamic drag. From the integrated seatpost to the Cadex wheelset with 40mm-deep carbon rims, every component has been selected and tested to optimize the system.
Advanced T-700 Carbon Technology
High-performance T-700 raw carbon fiber is used to produce, in Giant’s own factory, a custom carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these frames is assembled and molded as a single continuous piece using a patented manufacturing technique called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Compact Road Design
Introduced by Giant in the late 1990s for the professional Team Once, the Compact Road design revolutionized the appearance and performance capabilities of competition road bikes forever. A top tube that slopes downward (from the head tube to the seat tube) reduces the size of the front and rear triangles, allowing for a lighter and stiffer bike. Furthermore, it makes it easier for men and women of all heights to find a bike that fits them.
OverDrive Aero
Located inside the head tube of the new Propel range, the D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic and easier-to-maintain system for integrated brake and derailleur cables.
Tubeless System
Fewer flats, more road grip. Minimal resistance for a more precise, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless system makes all these benefits more affordable than ever.
PowerCore
The oversized bottom bracket area features a fully integrated 86mm-wide design (92mm wide for mountain bikes). The asymmetrical chainstays provide greater stiffness on the drive side and stability on the opposite side.
Integrated seatpost
Designed as a key performance factor for the frame as a whole, the integrated seatpost saves up to 45 grams in weight compared to standard carbon seatposts, while improving aerodynamics and offering greater comfort on the road.
