Discover the most technologically advanced carbon chainring from Gemini and Escapa.

In an era where races are decided by tenths of a second, improvements that allow you to go faster are the difference between climbing to the top of the podium or not. TheGemini Rigel MTB Chainring for Cannondale Hollowgram has been developed in carbon, improving the efficiency of conventional chainrings and minimizing friction with the chain to help you be the fastest with a single chainring.

HyperCar technology for your bike

More than 3 years of research and development, more than 500 prototypes, thousands of kilometers of testing in all kinds of conditions by the most demanding riders... the result? Two international patent applications and the most technologically advanced chainring.

Anti-wear technology Patent pending

The metal core of each tooth, made of 7075 T6 aluminum alloy, transmits power to the chain, providing high wear resistance, while the carbon fiber covering reduces dynamic friction and noise with each link, creating an ultra-lightweight and aerodynamic chainring structure. You will feel unmatched smoothness when pedaling.

Continuous Fiber Teeth

Thanks to a process involving more than 100 tons of controlled pressure and the specific arrangement of the material, the fibers of the composite are arranged in the geometry of each tooth around the metal core with a structural organization that provides a strength impossible to achieve with any other carbon fiber manufacturing process, such as layered or CNC-machined carbon.

Features:

Compatible crank interface: Cannondale Hollowgram

STD offset 3mm.

Number of teeth: 32T, 34T, and 36T

Drivetrains: 1×11, 1×12

CAN I USE RIGEL WITH ANY TYPE/BRAND OF CHAIN?

The Rigel tooth design has been developed to be compatible with any 11- and 12-speed chain on the market, including Shimano, SRAM Eagle, and SRAM Eagle Flattop chains.

DO I HAVE TO INSTALL A NEW CHAIN WHEN MOUNTING A NEW RIGEL?

If you want to maximize the life of your Rigel chainring, we recommend that you use a new chain when installing the chainring and that you check the chain for wear. This will extend the life of your RIGEL carbon chainring by many more kilometers.

HOW DURABLE IS A RIGEL CHAINRING?

It is impossible to define a general durability for a component of this type, as its durability depends on the power exerted by the cyclist when pedaling, the gradient, maintenance, etc. These are factors that can determine that some cyclists ride more kilometers than others, just as with a conventional aluminum chainring, so we cannot give you specific data. Keep in mind that the core is made of metal, so wear and tear will be similar to an aluminum chainring.

HOW CAN I KNOW IF THE OFFSET SUITS THE NEEDS OF MY BIKE?

The 3 mm offset is compatible with all bikes that have a 148 mm BOOST rear hub configuration.

IS IT REALLY THE LIGHTEST CHAINRING IN THE WORLD?

Yes, it is the lightest Direct Mount chainring. The 30T and SRAM 3-bolt versions weigh around 39 g, as they are made mainly of carbon fiber for both the structure and the teeth, despite having an internal metal core that is used solely to extend its useful life.

WHAT MAINTENANCE DOES IT NEED?

We recommend lubricating your drivetrain with a dry lubricant that prevents particles from sticking to the chain, which can cause premature wear on your RIGEL carbon chainring. Keeping your drivetrain clean and well lubricated will extend the life of your RIGEL.

WHAT MAKES RIGEL TECHNOLOGY SO SPECIAL?

Rigel is made of Forged Carbon, which results in a continuous fiber structure organization in the tooth that is unattainable with traditional carbon fiber manufacturing processes. In addition, its internal metal core provides greater performance of the carbon teeth against wear.
