THE FASTEST IN OPERATION
Riders want faster seatpost actuation with minimal force on the handlebars, allowing them to micro-adjust saddle height to suit their needs on any Terreno. For the Transfer Neo to operate instantly, FOX needed a signal that would reach the seatpost faster than any other wireless system in cycling. That’s why Neo was born.
The Fox Transfer Neo Factory dropper post eliminated all non-essential features from this system in favor of speed. How fast? More than 100 times faster than Bluetooth and 20 times faster than its closest competitor. What’s the result? Virtually no latency between pressing the trigger and the post moving to the exact desired position
STRATEGIC BATTERY PLACEMENT
To eliminate the tire clearance issues that wireless seatposts encounter on certain frames, the Transfer Neo’s battery and controller are positioned on the exposed underside of the seatpost, just above the frame clamp, rather than directly beneath the saddle. The battery can also be mounted in a forward position, which requires removing the seatpost at a Fox Service Center.
The battery position has been designed so that, in the worst-case scenario where the wheel bottoms out, the Transfer Neo still allows for full suspension travel. Wireless dropper posts with the battery/motor mounted under the saddle cannot do this, as the rear tire would come into contact with the battery.
Unlike the new Transfer Neo, to achieve the 6mm clearance between the tire and the battery recommended by ISO, other wireless dropper posts must be mounted up to 18mm above the fully inserted position. This position, combined with a taller dropper post, means that the saddle height is 40mm higher than that of the Transfer Neo when fully compressed.
The Transfer Neo allows us to have a more maneuverable bike on descents, with the added assurance that the saddle won’t interfere on the steepest sections.
The redesign of the external structure made it possible to offer a 200-mm travel option across all diameters, giving taller riders the option of a long-travel Dropper with a position that inspires confidence on descents.
ERGONOMIC LEVER
The Transfer Neo lever is designed to feel as familiar as possible. The rubber-coated thumb contact area mimics the texture and distance from the handlebar of a standard Transfer lever, but with a shorter activation point.
The shorter reach means the lever can be mounted lower on the handlebar, preventing contact between the lever and the rider’s thumb knuckle while offering a more ergonomic feel. The lever’s tactile feedback ensures the rider can feel it when actuating the dropper post.
The Transfer Neo lever’s sleek design allows it to sit just 36 mm below the handlebars—10 mm lower than the competition—which means less chance of contact between the lever and the bike’s top tube. For reference, the center of the handlebar’s thumb pad is only 27 mm below the handlebars.

OPTIMIZED APP
The Transfer Neo is fully compatible with the FOX Bike app, allowing you to quickly access an overview of components, download firmware updates, and activate useful features such as Bike Park Mode, Transport Mode, and maintenance interval tracking.
Bike Park Mode temporarily disables the Transfer Neo, preventing the seatpost from accidentally extending while descending trails. Bike Park enthusiasts no longer need to rotate the wireless dropper post lever toward the top of the handlebars to prevent accidental activation; this mode can be quickly deactivated by pressing the lever four times or via the app
Transport Mode is designed to conserve the Transfer Neo’s battery power—as the name suggests—during transport. When this mode is activated, the Transfer Neo automatically powers off and the “Shake to Wake” feature is disabled. To disable Transport Mode, simply let the rear of the bike drop a few meters to the ground or remove and reinsert the battery.
The Transfer Neo controller monitors and communicates maintenance intervals via the app; on Analog models, these intervals are defined by hours of use. Maintenance on the Transfer Neo should be performed every 8,000 seatpost actuations, with notifications in the app when maintenance is required.
