GREATER RELIABILITY

The center of the Kéo Classic 3 consists of a large steel axle with miniature ball bearings (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle bearing cartridge to improve wear resistance. A spacer is used to hold the needle bearing cartridge in place.

LOOK spindles are only approved after a 2 million cycle rotation test at 100 rpm with a 90 kg load on the center of the pedal and eccentric rotation (creating a shock with each rotation). This test is much more demanding than the current industry standard, EN14781.

The new Classic Two has a surface area of 400 mm², almost 40% more than the competition. The importance of this is that the load is distributed around the cleat rather than having a small concentrated area, which improves comfort and reduces foot discomfort.
