Every Diem features a high-tech integrated lighting system that turns on automatically to ensure your safety and light the way. The headlight turns on automatically at night to improve your vision even when the streets are dark. The wraparound lights ensure you’re always visible, day or night, even from the side. The reactive taillights illuminate to signal braking.
The Supernova Starstream front light is integrated into the handlebars or the front of the optional grille. In addition to being protected against damage or theft, this eliminates obstacles to the light beam, making you more visible. If you choose the optional Supernova Starstream dual light, you can easily switch the light intensity to a brighter setting. The front light, rear lights, and integrated wrap-around lights comply with StVZO regulations.
The integrated Spin Block system prevents the handlebars from turning too far, making it much easier to load and unload your belongings onto the bike. The 630 Wh battery (Diem 20 and Diem 10), integrated into the down tube, uses the latest cell technology to store more energy in a smaller space. The result is a range of about 150 kilometers (or 9 hours) between charges, meaning many riders will need to charge their bike less than once a week. A standard charge takes about 4 hours to complete. To make the Diem as lightweight as possible, choose our highly optimized 540 Wh battery (Diem 30), which delivers plenty of power for a range of up to 120 kilometers.
Supplied by one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electric bike motors, Shimano’s EP motors deliver smooth and reliable performance day after day, as well as a wide network of service centers should you ever need them. The discreet remote control is easy to use without taking your hands off the handlebars. Integrated LED lights indicate the assist mode in use. And if you want more detailed information, it’s very easy to connect your smartphone, place it in the integrated mount, and access comprehensive system data.
The SBS system securely mounts the battery inside the bike frame. In addition to making the battery impossible to steal, the SBS allows us to design slimmer, more visually appealing frames that are lighter and stiffer, facilitating quicker responses and greater control as you navigate the city.
Most people will never need the extra range offered by the optional Range Extender modular battery, but it can be useful to take it to the office and charge it there if needed. The 252 Wh Range Extender fits easily into the bottle cage and provides instant extra power.

Diem offers two rear racks for 20 and 30 kilos, compatible with Ortlieb and MIK mounting systems, as well as an optional front rack and basket that support up to 10 kilos. The optional adapter allows the use of Thule, Burley, Croozer, and Hamax trailers with the Diem 10 and Diem 20. The Diem 30 works with conventional thru-axle adapters.
