The Orbea Rise LT M20 630W 25 is Orbea’s lightweight e-bike that offers a completely new experience, eliminating any limitations found in our competitors’ lightweight eMTBs. The powerful yet natural assist responds instantly and smoothly, making even the most technical trails more fun than ever. Longer rides won’t be a problem for the new Rise either, thanks to its exceptional battery range. Its handling will be a revelation for riders, who will feel like they’re on a mechanical bike thanks to the combination of geometry, frame stiffness, and low weight. No other eMTB has ever offered a connection to the Terreno like the one you’ll experience with the Rise.
TUNED STIFFNESS / HIGH-PERFORMANCE HANDLING
To achieve the best handling, bikes need the right stiffness in the right places. The Rise’s new asymmetrical frame design is key to fine-tuning its stiffness. The result is predictable performance when you’re giving it your all.
RIDER SYNERGY (RS): The most natural and responsive assist and the longest-range battery in its class for the most epic adventures.
RS GEN2 MC: This is our new firmware that works in conjunction with the smart sensors integrated into the Shimano EP motor. RS Gen2 is the evolution of the first generation of RS firmware, featuring a completely new communication protocol between the motor and the battery. This allows for even more precise adjustment of motor output, while increasing maximum torque to 85 Nm. The result is even more natural assistance, even at low cadences. This performance would not have been possible without Shimano’s advanced sensors and our proprietary firmware
WHAT HAS CHANGED COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS GENERATION OF RS? In addition to an even faster and more precise motor response, the increased torque provides even more assistance. This is especially noticeable at low cadences, where the motor responds with even greater power, making you feel every Sendero or steep climb in a more natural way. You can easily identify the firmware generation (Gen1 or Gen2) by the RS logo on the motor. The RS Gen1 is blue, while the Gen2 has a red “S.”
WHAT DOES MC MEAN? It is our motor configuration for Sendero use. MC stands for Mountain Control, and it offers even more assistance and control than ever before. In the future, if we use our RS firmware for any other category, we will use these letters (MC) to avoid potential confusion.
RS AND RS+? On the previous Rise, these settings were Profile 1 and 2; however, with the new firmware, we can rename the profiles. Thanks to the flexibility offered by the new firmware, we can set the maximum torque up to 85 Nm, making these two profiles more important than ever. The Rise comes preconfigured with these two different options to offer two distinct riding experiences:
RS mode offers up to 54 Nm of torque. This provides the most responsive and natural assistance to maximize battery range for longer rides. This mode will make the new Rise feel very similar to the previous model.
RS+ mode offers up to 85 Nm, providing more assistance at low cadences. This delivers the most natural experience on technical trails or steep climbs, where cadences tend to be lower. The Rise comes standard in RS mode, but it takes just 30 seconds to switch between assist modes using the Shimano e-Tube app
CAN I CHANGE THE SETTINGS FOR EACH MODE?: Yes, thanks to Shimano’s e-Tube app, you have full control
