This best-in-class 29" aluminum wheel features many of the proven technologies that have made Mavic a leader in MTB wheel innovation.
The rims are designed with our patented Fore technology, featuring a fully sealed rim top that eliminates the need for rim tape. This saves 30 grams per wheel and avoids the hassle of using rim tape to mount tubeless tires. We use ISM rim machining, which removes material in strategic areas of the rim to minimize weight without compromising strength. The rim has an internal width of 30mm, optimized to squeeze the best performance out of any modern trail tire, and our Black Shield technology gives them a distinctive finish that protects against scratches and abrasions.
We use 24 straight spokes to further fine-tune the ideal combination of lateral stiffness and vertical absorption. Infinity hubs feature a stiffer and lighter construction, enhanced by the ultra-reliable ID 360 double-pawl system for quick engagement. The wheelset is configured for Center Lock disc mounts and is compatible with Micro Spline freehub bodies. It is available in 29" only and comes with UST Tubeless valves, spare spokes, and accessories.
